Dr. Monica Altman is a board-certified primary care internist dedicated to providing personalized, comprehensive healthcare to adult patients. With over 24 years of experience in internal medicine, she has built a reputation for compassionate, attentive care that puts patients first.
Currently practicing with Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Altman serves patients at locations in both Boca Raton, FL and New York, NY, bringing the same high standard of care to every patient she sees.
Education & Training
Dr. Altman was born and raised in Ecuador, where her passion for medicine began at an early age. She pursued her medical education at Universidad Católica de Ecuador in Quito, earning a combined BA/MD degree — a rigorous academic path that laid the foundation for her medical career.
She went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard University-affiliated community hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she refined her clinical skills under some of the field’s most respected physicians.

Professional Journey
Since 2006, Dr. Altman has worked as a primary care physician, beginning her career at Columbia University’s Ambulatory Care Network. In 2011, she joined Weill Cornell Medicine, where she has spent the last 15 years building lasting relationships with her patients and delivering exceptional primary care.
In recent years, Dr. Altman expanded her practice to Boca Raton, Florida, bringing Weill Cornell Medicine’s trusted standard of care to a new community while continuing to serve her long-time patients in New York.
